Squats, dead lifts, and lunges are all great moves that tighten and strengthen your lower body. Another must-do move that isn’t seen as much is known as the hip thruster. The hip thruster is one of the best exercises to target and activate the large and powerful muscles known as our glutes! Strengthening your glutes with this exercise can help prevent injuries, improve athletic performance, even increase your deadlift and tighten your glutes like never before. Hip Thrusters are said to be the best glute isolation exercises out there providing great results for bootie tightening as well as athletic performance benefits.
HOW TO DO IT:
Step 1: Lay on the ground (or bench) with your knee’s bent and fee flat on the ground.
Step 2: Push your hips upward driving your low back and butt off the ground, squeeze your glutes!
Step 3: Slowly descend back to the ground.
Tip: Try holding a weight plate below your belly button to make the exercise more difficult.
